Bespoke furniture:from idea to installation.
What to bring to the first conversation, how to choose materials, and what to agree before your furniture is made.
Start with what you need
Think about how you use the room and what you'd change. In a kitchen, that might mean more worktop space or a clearer layout; in a wardrobe, room for clothes that currently have nowhere to go. Write down your needs, even if you don't yet know what the furniture should look like. They give us a starting point for the layout and first sketches.
Gather photos and rough measurements
Photos of the space and approximate dimensions are useful for the first conversation. Mark doors, windows and connections, and note any existing furniture you'd like to keep. Examples of colours, finishes and layouts you like help us understand your style. Rough measurements are a starting point; the final dimensions must be agreed and checked before production.
Choose materials for the way you will use them
Materials and finishes affect how furniture looks, feels in use and needs to be cared for. Think about how often a surface is used and what it is exposed to. For bathroom furniture, the conditions in the room matter; for a table, how you'll use it. Together, we consider finishes, colours and construction so the choice suits your space and your needs.
Explore the design in 3D
After our conversation, we develop the layout and look of the furniture. A 3D view helps you see how the pieces, colours and room work together before production. It is a chance to discuss worktops, door openings, shelves and drawers, and to check whether the proposal works for you. The final materials and production details are agreed together.
Agree production, delivery and installation
Price and timing depend on the dimensions, materials, design and scope of the project. Include the location and any preferred date in your first enquiry. Before production starts, we agree the design and the delivery and installation details. We then make the furniture to that plan and install it in your space. To get started, send us a short description of what you'd like to furnish.
